JEB Build was engaged by the owner of this iconic cottage located in Broken Head Beach to provide a full design and build service. JEB build completed the design, drafting, council approval process, construction and interior design service for this project.

This particular location was subject to very strict council regulations that impacted the design, location and size of the structures. The clients brief for was to remain respectful of the original design whilst employing environmentally friendly building practices. As a result the 1954 timber cottage was renovated and kept in its original form, right down to the white exterior with blue base stripe. The newly built cottage behind the original was design to blend into the landscape of the block and the original cottage. This build heavily utilised recycled timbers and materials to ensure the original cottage design was respectfully kept whilst reducing the environmental footprint of the build.
