About this project

When the owners first contacted JEB Build they had a strong vision for a Mediterranean Restaurant and Bar with a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere.

The close working relationship between the client and builder developed quickly. With no formal drawn plans and through ongoing detailed planning discussions the vision became a reality. The space is an open and enjoys an abundance of natural light that enters through bi-folding timber doors, leading out to a relaxed outdoor dining deck. Custom designed in-built tables and bench seating that provide a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere on the upper level, accessed via a spiral staircase that features hand-laid timber flooring and attention to detail. Archways, rendered walls and handcrafted wrought iron balustrade are all features that add to the relaxed Mediterranean inspired restaurant.

The Mez Club is a thriving restaurant and has fast become Byron Bay's newest hotspot.
