Designed by Harley Graham Architects Byron Bay, the brief from the client was “for the bones of the house to be recycled timbers”. The result is a striking modern home that has body & soul, with the perfect balance between old & new.

Recycled bricks, reclaimed lining board, Corten steel panels and oversized timber posts and beams are the grounding features that bring warmth and personality to this home. The 100 year old 'Sugar Mill' reclaimed posts, beams and raters are the first feature that form the centre of the large open plan living, dining & kitchen area. This is a home built around family connection with a large kitchen island bench and bifold timber windows that open on an window servery that over looks beautiful gardens and a generous sized pool.
